Franchising is a way of doing business which is provided by Daos plus Ltd. Daos plus Ltd operates a chain of restaurants bearing the name of Švejk restaurant. The main and most expensive commodity of this project is the trademark of ‘The Good Soldier Švejk’. The idea behind it all is the spirit of The First Republic period of Austria - Hungary, and its portrayal in the most translated novel of Czech literature, The Good Soldier Švejk. The concept relies on this particular style and bring this very mood of the period Josef Švejk lived into the businesses within the chain.

Besides creativity and originality, the chain feels that services provided to particular restaurant franchisees are as important. These services include consulting services in the area of restaurant management, planning, economic studies, marketing research, kitchen construction, staff training, menu making ,delivery of inventory and POS materials. All this information is included in the operating manuals for franchisees, including the graphic manual.

All restaurants provide the same basic menu, additional dishes are up to the particular restaurant but are either subject to approval process of the franchisor, or come from a recommended franchise menu consisting of more than 250 dishes. The names of traditional Czech dishes are also adapted in order to be in harmony with the period of The Good Soldier Švejk such as Goulash by Feldkurat Katz, Sirloin In Vegetable Cream Sauce by Mrs. Muller, or Baloun’s Chow.
